A “Super Milk” Prevents Tumors and Degenerative Diseases
Argentine scientists have presented a cow and goat milk that prevents the development of tumors and degenerative diseases, classified as a “super baby” for its beneficial properties.
They got the product – that could be marketed soon – thanks to a special feeding of cattle with oil and derivatives, which are abundant in a country that is one of the world’s largest exporters of food.
“This milk should not be seen as a remedy, but as a preventive measure. It is more a food that can help alleviate the onset of degenerative diseases,” said Gerardo Gagliostro researcher, National Institute of Agricultural Technology ( INTA).
The agency, which worked with fellow National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI), said in a statement that the new food with which we can develop different milk is low fat and nutrients typical of any milk .
But the key is that it has high levels of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and vaccenic acid (VA), two elements with broad anti-tumor properties, antiatherogenic and antidiabetic.
The “super” of cow and goat were obtained by supplementing cattle feed mainly soybeans – but also with sunflower – and derivatives such as oil or deleted.
