gingivitisWhat can we do to prevent gingivitis?

It is fundamental proper dental hygiene. Daily brushing and flossing removes plaque effectively and rinsing the mouth with liquids that fight bacteria.

We can use special toothpaste to prevent plaque and schedule appointments with the dentist regularly.
A balanced diet rich in vitamin C and B3 and avoid sugars, fats and starchy foods that stimulate the growth of bacteria.

We must also avoid smoking and breathe through your mouth as it tends to dry the gums and increase the number of bacteria. Read the rest of this entry »

Gingivitis, input is not a serious problem but we know its symptoms and treatment for complicated and we do not cause periodontitis.

What is gingivitis?

Gingivitis is a common inflammatory condition that affects the gums more superficial.
It is more common in childhood and adolescence, and women (especially during menstruation, pregnancy and menopause).
