Impotence
Alternative Therapies for Impotence

Acupuncture
The available studies found a similarity of effects between acupuncture and placebo, so studies are still needed with larger groups of men, to assess the effectiveness of acupuncture for erectile dysfunction.
Physical Media
One of the leading causes of impotence are the problems in the veins of the penis. When the veins that take blood from the penis, do not close completely during erection, the blood leaves the penis while entering, which does weaken or lose the erection.
So there are a variety of bands and rings that help compress the veins externally (in the manner of a tourniquet), to maintain enough blood to allow a natural erection, longer and sign the minute of use these applications. This type of device will not work if there is a low blood flow to the penis, or if you suffer from health problems like diabetes, stroke or problems with the nerves of the penis.
Hypnosis
Erectile dysfunction problems that have not been able to connect to physical causes, have been successfully treated by hypnosis. In this case, you may initially need three weekly sessions of hypnosis to further reduce them to one per month. The available studies found that 3 of 4 men treated with this technique had beneficial results.
Traditional Treatments for Impotence

A study published in the Journal of Urology November 2000 assessed the effects on erectile dysfunction herbal supplement based on a combination of plants used in traditional Chinese medicine and marketed in the United States.
According to it, after drinking three bottles of the herbal compound, over 70 percent of patients were able to achieve and sustain an erection, delay ejaculation, increase desire, and dramatically decrease urinary frequency at night. They also found that this compound is not a stimulant temporary but long-term effects and no side effects (which have been found in the study cited).
With respect to men who have had prostate surgery, the results are not conclusive, since they vary depending on the degree of damage or injury to local nerves caused by surgery. Therefore, you should consult a doctor, which could indicate a higher dose for these cases.
Ginkgo
The available studies have shown that taking Gingko biloba extract on a daily basis can lead to an improvement in 6 months or less, even if previous medications have failed.
Catuaba (Erytroxylum catuaba)
The Catuaba has a long history as an aphrodisiac in the herbal medicine. According to experts, while very beneficial to both men and women, have shown better results in the area of male impotence. Furthermore, no side effects have been evidenced, even after long-term use.
