Gingivitis (I)

Gingivitis, input is not a serious problem but we know its symptoms and treatment for complicated and we do not cause periodontitis.
What is gingivitis?
Gingivitis is a common inflammatory condition that affects the gums more superficial.
It is more common in childhood and adolescence, and women (especially during menstruation, pregnancy and menopause).
Is primarily linked to an incorrect oral hygiene, which facilitates the formation of plaque.
Symptoms of Gingivitis
Gingivitis is manifested as an intense redness of the gum around the base of the teeth, associated with local swelling, pain. This adds to the feeling of tooth mobility.
It is very common to bleed when you brush your teeth regularly or eating. It is also common bad breath and in severe cases, accumulation of pus.
Causes of Gingivitis
Poor oral hygiene leads to plaque formation, formed by the accumulation of food debris, consequently, produce toxins that irritate the gums and destroy the supporting tissues around the teeth.
Deficiency of vitamin C and vitamin B3 or niacin.
Smoke, because the toxic substances contained in cigarette smoke irritate the gums and promote plaque accumulation.
Misplaced dentures, and between them and the teeth are slots where it is difficult to perform proper cleaning.
Hormonal changes during puberty, pregnancy and menopause gum sensitize them more susceptible to attack by bacteria.
Infection by the virus called acute herpetic stomatitis, gingivitis accompanied by numerous causes sores.
Leukemia (blood cancer)
Types of Gingivitis
Gingivitis associated with dental plaque.
Pregnancy gingivitis, as a result of hormonal changes that develop during pregnancy.
Desquamative gingivitis, often involving women who are postmenopausal.
Necrotizing gingivitis, characterized by the presence of necrosis or death of soft tissue and bone.
Gingivitis leukemia, occurs when cancer cells are introduced into the gums.
Simple gingivitis, the gums become red, swell and move, plus they tend to bleed in the wash of the teeth or eating.
