Acupuncture to Treat Menopause Symptoms

Although perhaps not the solution for all, there is a good percentage of women who could benefit from acupuncture as a natural remedy to counteract symptoms of menopause. At least this indicates a recent study published in the British Medical Journal.
A group of Turkish researchers assigned acupuncture therapy to a total of 53 women with menopausal symptoms. After 10 sessions of the practice of alternative medicine, treated women reported significantly fewer hot flashes and changes in mood.
As explained by the authors of the research, more sessions of acupuncture, the greater the benefits of treatment, particularly to combat hot flashes.
In this study of acupuncture and menopause, the researchers measured levels of two hormones, estradiol and luteinizing hormone, which usually diminish with the onset of menopausal symptoms.
What was observed in women who received acupuncture treatment was that estradiol levels increased slightly. Similarly, acupuncture can increase the production of endorphins, hormones that could help stabilize body temperature and mood of the people.
So you know, if you’ve tried everything and nothing will work to relieve the discomforts of menopause, ask your doctor to assess whether this option could complement your treatment, whatever it is.
Alternative Therapies for Impotence

Acupuncture
The available studies found a similarity of effects between acupuncture and placebo, so studies are still needed with larger groups of men, to assess the effectiveness of acupuncture for erectile dysfunction.
Physical Media
One of the leading causes of impotence are the problems in the veins of the penis. When the veins that take blood from the penis, do not close completely during erection, the blood leaves the penis while entering, which does weaken or lose the erection.
So there are a variety of bands and rings that help compress the veins externally (in the manner of a tourniquet), to maintain enough blood to allow a natural erection, longer and sign the minute of use these applications. This type of device will not work if there is a low blood flow to the penis, or if you suffer from health problems like diabetes, stroke or problems with the nerves of the penis.
Hypnosis
Erectile dysfunction problems that have not been able to connect to physical causes, have been successfully treated by hypnosis. In this case, you may initially need three weekly sessions of hypnosis to further reduce them to one per month. The available studies found that 3 of 4 men treated with this technique had beneficial results.
