Promoting homeopathy for the treatment of fatal diseases would endanger the lives of many people. The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a warning through some of its specialists to the use of homeopathy in treating AIDS patients, tuberculosis or malaria.

WHO was responding to a call from a group of young scientists who fear that the promotion of homeopathy in developing countries could endanger the lives of many people, the BBC reported.

In a letter sent to WHO, doctors in the UK and several African countries asked the United Nations agency to condemn the promotion of homeopathy for the treatment of these diseases, as well as flu and diarrhea .

“Homeopathy does not protect people from these diseases. Those who work with the poorest people in rural areas we see and want us to provide necessary medical assistance. And when it also brought homeopathy, endangered lives,” say those doctors Network of Young Scientists.
