Coffee or Tea Reduces the Risk of Type 2 Diabetes
Eat at least three cups of coffee or tea a day reduced to 42 percent risk of type 2 diabetes in adulthood, according to a study conducted with data from 40,011 subjects in the Netherlands and filed Wednesday by the Coffee Information Center and Health (CICASA) on the occasion of the celebration next Saturday’s World Diabetes Day.
The protective effect could be due to other components of coffee other than caffeine as that found a protective effect of decaffeinated coffee, although less intense, in studies that assessed.
