Currently still circulate in society many common misconceptions about food and nutrition, assertions which tend not to be such, and that in most cases cause unhealthy behaviors. This article contains some common myths about acid food, liquids and sugar.

Myth: Eating acidic foods like oranges, alters the ácido-alcalino balance of the body.
Reality: The Agency acts to maintain a constant ácido-alcalino balance through specific buffer systems. Even one minor blood alkalinity alteration can adversely affect vital functions necessary to sustain life. Fortunately we have many bodies whose function is to prevent this from happening, including the lungs and kidneys. In healthy people, this balance not affected significantly by the food they eat. Food and Mood

Eat foods that we like can encourage us and make us feel satisfied and relaxed. And on the other hand, sometimes, eating our favorite foods can cause us negative feelings of guilt and remorse. How can we reduce the negative effects and increase the positive impact of the food in our mood?.

The pleasure principle

Eating is one of the pleasures of life, and wherever possible we eat food that we like and avoid those we dislike. Studies show that eating foods that one prefers can stimulate the release of ?-endorphins, which are those that improve our humor. However, the fact that a meal attractive us not only relates to its organoleptic properties, also depends on how much hunger we have previous experiences with the food and the social circumstances in which it is consumed.
